Biography
Bobby Khan has extensive legal experience, primarily in criminal law. He has represented clients at all levels of the criminal justice system. From minor traffic citations to driving while impaired offenses to first degree capital murder cases, he works tirelessly to zealously advocate on behalf of his clients' rights. He also works extensively in family legal services. His family law practice has included service as a prosecuting attorney for child support enforcement, and as an attorney advocate for the North Carolina Guardian Ad Litem program in multiple counties. He also has extensive experience representing parents and other family members in child welfare cases.
Bobby's educational background includes a Bachelor of Arts in English that he earned at the University of North Carolina, Charlotte, where he graduated cum laude. Upon his 1992 graduation, he won the Aristidis Katapodis Award for Excellence in English. After completing his undergraduate education, he moved on to law school at Mercer University. In 1997, he graduated from the Walter F. George School of Law with a Juris Doctor degree.
Mr. Khan served as the Union County GAL attorney advocate for over 11 years and continues to serve as the GAL attorney advocate for Stanly County. Bobby began his legal career in sole practice before founding The Khan Law Offices. In 1998, he helped found The Khan Law Offices, where he has since served as a managing member. He has nearly two decades of experience in both criminal and family law, and is a member of many professional organizations, including the Union County Bar Association, for which he has served as president for multiple terms.
